New Delhi: Notorious mafia Lawrence Bishnoi and his Bishnoi gang have been implicated in the murder of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddiqui, threats to Bollywood star Salman Khan, firing in front of his house. Anmol was arrested in America in that situation. He was arrested in Sacramento on Thursday. But Anmol, who is named in several criminal cases including murder, has been arrested in America for being an illegal immigrant. He allegedly entered the US using forged documents. India had already applied to get hold of Anmol. But for now there is no possibility of the American police handing him over to Delhi.
But America told Delhi that Anmol has been arrested. 25-year-old Anmol is currently in police custody there. He is being held at the Iowa County Jail, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement said. Anmol was a frequent traveler to countries like America and Canada. There is also considerable influence of the Bishnoi gang. Canada has already started an investigation against the Bishnoi gang.
Earlier, in early November, the Mumbai police requested the central government to extradite Anmol. Anmol’s name is also in the records of the National Investigation Agency (NIA). A Maharashtra court has already issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against him. Interpol has also issued a Red Corner Notice in his name.
Until now Anmol was known to be in Canada. He made a fake passport and left the country. NIA declared him ‘Most Wanted’. The price of the head has been kept at 10 lakh rupees. Although the Canadian government has made serious claims about the Bishnoi gang. They claimed that Indian agents used the Bishnoi gang in criminal activities. Bitterness between the two countries has also increased with that.
