This Telangana Govt School Operates For Single Student With only

Telangana Govt School: In a whole school there is only one student and only one teacher. That’s why the school is going well. Such is the case in Nadapaninipally, a small remote village in Telangana. The only student of the government school there is a 9-year-old girl named Kirtana. There is only one such school (Telangana School) in the entire state. And Uma, the only teacher of this school, comes to school every day only to teach kirtana.

School student Kirtana told the media, ‘Once this school is closed, it will be very difficult for the students to open this school a second time. And so my father instructed me to study in this school. I want to study here till 7th standard. After that I will get admission in a hostel for secondary school studies’.

Uma, the only teacher of the school, said that there are 10 students, or 20, or 1; There is no change in teaching regardless of the student, although the pressure is much less’. The district education officer told PTI that the only student of the school, who was studying in class IV, was admitted to higher primary in Vaira mandal so that her studies would not be disrupted.

The word of this girl has recently spread on social media. Many have praised her father’s decision to keep his daughter enrolled in the school to keep the school running. Many considered him both lucky and unlucky. Because on the one hand he has got the only teacher for his daughter and on the other hand the girl is not developing overall due to lack of competition with her classmates.

Running this school costs 12 lakh rupees a year, 15 years ago there were 70 students in this school. As the demand for private and English medium schools has increased, the number of students in these schools has gradually decreased. To attract more students, the school has launched a program called ‘We Can Learn’ where the school will focus on improving English and communication skills. Officials said, ‘This initiative has been taken to increase enrollment. Also attention is being paid to increase the skills of teachers. And through this, it is assumed that there will be a big impact on student admission.
