The pilot project local networka collaboration between EKZ and ETH Zurich, won in the “Special Jury Award” category. OrtsNetz is investigating various demand response models to use the flexibility of household appliances to reduce peaks in distribution networks. The project Nanoverbundwhich was awarded in the “Buildings and Spatial Development” category, is a collaboration between IWB, ETH Zurich, EMPA, HSLU and Sympheny. Its goal is to enable energy exchange between neighbors, increase efficiency, reduce emissions and support the local distribution network. Congratulations to Carlo Tajoli and Gabriela Hug!
