According to the Indian mission, the bodies of the 12 Indians were found in a resort in Gudauni, Georgia. However, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia refuses to accept that the dead are Indians. They claim that 11 of the dead are foreigners, and one is a citizen of Georgia. They all worked in an Indian restaurant. The bodies were found in the bedroom on the second floor of the restaurant itself. A preliminary investigation found no signs of injury on Carr’s body or evidence of a collision.
According to the Indian mission statement, 12 Indian deaths have been reported in Gudauni city of Georgia. The mission extends its deepest condolences to the bereaved families. The local administration has been contacted to get detailed information about the deceased. All help will be given to the family’.
