Kerala Judicial Exam: As the saying goes, hard work pays off late. Similarly, this person has achieved success in life through hard work, perseverance and dedication. His name is Yasin Shan Mohammed. His success story will inspire. He has secured second place in Kerala Judicial Exam 2024. Growing up in a remote village in Kerala, Yasin once worked as a delivery boy and today he is a judge, how did this success come about?
Yasin Shan Mohammed was born and brought up in Pallakkad district of Kerala. His mother dropped out of school when he was in sixth grade and was married when he was only 14. Although the marriage did not last, he divorced at the age of 19. Yasin was born when his mother was 15 years old. Yasin never met his father. His mother herself took charge of Yasin and his sister. He himself worked as a day laborer, later he worked as an Asha worker.
His family got a house under a state government housing scheme. The family was poor, Yasin had to wear old clothes, could not afford to buy books. But he had a strong desire to study for which Yasin worked from his childhood to deliver newspapers and deliver milk from house to house for his education. Along with school studies, he also took responsibility for the family’s sustenance, he also worked as a laborer himself.
Yasin said in an interview that after passing 12th he did a diploma in electronics and then worked for a year. After working as a delivery boy, he graduated in Public Administration in Kerala. He then decided to study law. Yasin secured 46th rank in the state law entrance exam and got admitted to a law college in Ernakulam. From here he did his LLB, during which he taught children.
Peers encourage
He registered as a lawyer in 2023. Two of his colleagues passed the Judicial Service Examination while working under the senior advocate of the court. Later his colleagues and seniors also encouraged Yasin to take the exam. And that’s how he started preparing for the exam.
Success on second attempt
Yasin Mohammed used to teach law students, and his preparation for this teaching was also very beneficial. Yasin stood second in the Kerala Judicial Services Examination.
