G 24 Hours Digital Bureau: The Yunus government has canceled the passport of Bangladesh’s former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday. Within a day, Modi himself extended Hasina’s visa in India. Advisor to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told the media on Wednesday. Touhid Hossain said, ‘Bangladesh has nothing to do with this.’
It was informed by the Bangladesh government yesterday that the Bangladesh government has canceled the passports of a total of 97 people on charges of murder and disappearance to stop the July movement. Passports of 22 people accused of involvement in missing murders have been cancelled. Former Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina is among them.
Despite the demands of the interim government to return Sheikh Hasina, India has extended her visa. In this regard, Indian officials said that the decision to extend Sheikh Hasina’s visa has been taken only to ease her stay in India. According to sources, within a few hours of this announcement, New Delhi extended Hasina’s visa. The message is very clear, the exiled Prime Minister of Bangladesh will not be returned at any cost. It is known that the Union Home Ministry has given the green signal to extend the visa period. Soon after, Hasina’s visa was extended through the local Foreign Regional Registration Office.

Incidentally, Sheikh Hasina left the country and took refuge in India last August. Immediately after that, the interim government canceled the diplomatic passports or red passports of the ousted government ministers, state ministers and parliamentarians including Sheikh Hasina. Since then, more than a hundred cases have been filed against Hasina. This includes many murder cases. Recently, a missing murder case has been connected with him.
