But in that new statistics emerged. Where it is known, about 12 Indians have died. Apart from this, there is no trace of 16 Indians. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs informed that news.

In a press conference on Friday, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, ‘The statistics that have come to us today. A total of 126 Indians are said to be standing there. Out of which 96 returned to India. 12 have died so far 16 out of 18 are missing.’ The Ministry of External Affairs is in touch with Putin for speedy repatriation of Indians serving in the Russian army.

The Ministry of External Affairs also said that 32-year-old Binil Babu from Kerala was among the dead in Russia. The Indian Embassy in Moscow is in talks with the Russian authorities to bring back his body. Also one injured is undergoing treatment. Prime Minister Narendra Modi informed about the presence of Indians in the Russian army during his visit to Russia in July last year. Then the process of releasing Indian citizens serving in the Russian army started one after another. But there are still many Indians in the army. When they will come back now it is a matter of time.
