RRB Group D Jobs: Big announcement of railway board in new year. Henceforth only candidates who have passed 10th will be considered eligible for Group D or Level 1 posts in Railways. ITI diploma is no longer mandatory (Railway Jobs). Under this new rule, candidates who have passed 10th or passed ITI, or who have National Apprenticeship Certificate (Railway Recruitment Board) from National Council for Vocational Training will be considered eligible for this job.
Earlier it was necessary to have ITI Diploma or National Apprenticeship Certificate along with passing 10th standard (Railway Recruitment Board) for railway level 1 recruitment. In a letter sent to all railway zones on January 2, the Railway Board said that this decision (Railway Jobs) has been taken through a re-evaluation, all previous instructions will no longer be followed.
The Railway Board’s notice clearly states, ‘Board has decided that the minimum educational qualification for all future open market recruitments for Level 1 posts shall be 10th Pass or ITI or equivalent degree or National Apprentice Certificate filed by NCVT’.

Level 1 posts in Indian Railways include various departments (Railway Recruitment Board) Assistant Posts, Pointsman and Track Maintainer Posts. RRB Group D Level 1 post recruitment brief notification was earlier published on December 23 on the official website. And according to this notification, 32,000 employees will be appointed to all these positions of the railways. The application process will start from January 23. The application will be open till February 22, 2025. Candidates will be selected through two stage computer based test, physical test and document verification, medical test. Age between 18 to 33 years can sit for this exam. The application fee for this examination is Rs.500 for unreserved candidates and Rs.250 for remaining reserved candidates.
