Kuwait City: Two Indian epics ‘Mahabharata’ and ‘Ramayana’ have been translated and published in Arabic. Prime Minister Narendra Modi met two such translators and Prakash from Kuwait. The prime minister signed the copies of the Arabic translation of the two epics.
Prime Minister Modi went to Kuwait on a two-day visit on Saturday. He went to the country on the invitation of the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Mashhal Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. This is the first golf visit to the country by an Indian Prime Minister in 43 years. Earlier in 1981, Indira Gandhi visited Kuwait as Indian Prime Minister.
Later, posting the picture on her X handle, the Prime Minister wrote, “Happy to meet the Arabic translators of Ramayana and Mahabharata. I appreciate the efforts of Abdullah Al-Baroun and Abdul Latif Al-Nesef to translate and publish them. Their initiative has made Indian culture popular around the world. caught.”

Modi highlighted their work in the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program last October. Said, “This work is not only a translation but also a bridge between two great cultures. It is bringing Indian literature to the Arab world anew.”
Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense and Interior Affairs Sheikh Fahad Youssef Saud Al-Sabah extended a warm welcome to the Prime Minister in Kuwait. Apart from this, Modi also met Mangal Sai Handa, a retired IFS officer living in Kuwait and posted about it on his X handle. He wrote, “Delighted to meet Shri @MangalSainHanda Ji this afternoon. Appreciate his contribution to India & India’s development.”
