The Goode Award is presented to individuals for achievements in the field of information processing that represent either a single contribution to theory, design, or engineering of outstanding importance, or for the accumulation of important contributions to theory or practice over an extended period of time.
Prof. Mutlu on the award: “I am deeply honored to receive this award for our many years of work in the field of computer architecture. This award reflects the achievements we have achieved together with my students and colleagues over more than two decades. It is wonderful to see that our work and efforts have had a positive and far-reaching impact on computer systems used by hundreds of millions of people in the world, and that they have inspired many researchers and designers to explore new ideas There are still many exciting things to invent and discover to make our computers fundamentally more efficient, powerful and robust, and I look forward to seeing and participating in developments in this direction.”
