G 24 Hours Digital Bureau: At least 49 people, including 5 children, were killed in an attack by Israeli forces across the Gaza Strip in Palestine on Tuesday. Five children were killed in an Israeli attack on a tent in the so-called ‘safe zone’ of al-Mawasi, Gaza. On the other hand, eight people were killed in an Israeli attack in Jabalia. The mother of Hussam Abu Safia, a detained doctor in Gaza, died of heart disease.

On December 27, Israeli forces raided Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza. During the operation, they arrested the director of the hospital, Abu Safia. Abu Safia was arrested on charges of working for Hamas. The 51-year-old pediatrician drew international attention with a video message describing the dire conditions in the besieged hospital. After his arrest, he was kept in an undisclosed location by Israeli forces. Meanwhile, five members of the same family were killed in an Israeli attack on the Shati refugee camp in northern Gaza yesterday!
Witnesses and survivors of the attack said Israel bombed families in the camp while they were sleeping. The attack was carried out targeting a house. The target house was destroyed in the attack. It is known that Israel bombed a house in Gaza City yesterday. A 15-day-old child died in that attack!
