NCTE Policy: The National Council for Teacher Education has changed major policies. One year BAD and MAD courses will be returned to the country as before. A decade ago, the term of the course was extended to 2 years, this time the students will have the opportunity to finish the BAD course within 5 years. This change is part of a new draft (one year B.ED course), which is reported to be launched from the next 2021-27 academic year. Through this, the teaching career route will be somewhat short for eligible candidates.
The draft regulation 2021 recently received approval at the recent General Body Meeting of the NCTE. And soon this policy will be published to respond. The BAD and MAD programs were only 5 years ago from today. Then, according to the NCTE rules in the 21st, the tenure was extended to 2 years at a double rate. In response to a question raised in Parliament in the 21st, the BAD program has been re-arranged in the new module as per the new rules of Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani 20. It has been attached to Yoga Education and Gender Studies. At the same time, the issue of 27 weeks has been introduced in the BAD course from that time. The answer in Parliament said, “The period of the BAD program has been extended to improve this course, so that it becomes more professional and the teacher’s teaching process is improved.” No change has been changed since the 20th of the teaching process.
According to this policy, the only students who have completed a 5 -year undergraduate degree or completed their Masters Degree will be considered eligible for this 5 year BAD degree. For those who have received a 5 -year undergraduate degree, the 2 -year BAD program will continue as before. This is what NCTE chairman Pankaj Arora said. He also said that this policy is being changed in accordance with the National Education Policy 2021, where you completed a one-year postgraduate degree under Level 4.1 under the University Grants Commission after completing the ITEP or Integrated Teacher Education Program. The pilot project was started in a total of 5 educational institutions from the 2021-27 academic year.
