Central Govt Scheme: On Monday, with the approval of the Union Cabinet of the country, the ‘One Nation One Subscription’ (One Nation One Subscription) project was launched through which research papers and journals published by all the universities and educational institutions of the country will come under one umbrella. And for this new central government scheme for the next 3 years i.e. for 2025, 2026 and 2027, the Central Government Schemes will allocate 6 thousand crore rupees.
In an official statement regarding this project, it has been informed by the government, mainly in the field of education (One Nation One Subscription), this project is going to open many research opportunities for the youth of the country to increase the quality of higher education and will take the research and development activities one step further. project. The One Nation One Subscription project will bring all the developmental activities of all central government universities, colleges, research institutes, laboratories of the country under one umbrella.
This facility is available in all higher education institutions under Central Government or State Government. The Central Government will provide access to this research paper on a national subscription basis in coordination with the Information and Library Network. The Information and Library Network is a self-contained inter-university organization of the University Grants Commission. 6300 institutions, 1.8 crore students, teachers and researchers of the country can take advantage of this project through One Nation One Subscription. This initiative is in line with the joint mission of Developing India, National Education Policy 2020 and Research National Research Foundation.
Students, teachers and researchers residing in tier 2 and tier 3 cities will also benefit from this scheme, through which research papers in different languages on various topics will be viewed. Higher Education Department will launch a dedicated portal called ‘One Nation One Subscription’ through which institutions can view research papers or journals.
