Scholarship Scheme: Under the central government of India, a number of financial support schemes have been launched for the minority community of the country through which the children of the poor minority community can study. Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, Sikhs, Jains, Persian religions get the benefit of this scholarship. The initiative was taken by the government to put the boys and girls in the minority scholarship in the field of education. The country’s Ministry of Minority Affairs operates this scholarship, but the government has now reduced the central allocation for this scholarship. Undoubtedly it is thought that this scheme will be closed this time. This year’s budget has been seen to reduce the allocation of the Union Finance Minister.
The government will stop this financial assistance in the country
The proper allocation for this minority community is not mentioned in this year’s budget. During the budget session, only Tk 1 crore has been allocated for the students of the minority community across the country for the 2021-27 fiscal year. However, the Center has informed that no application has been submitted for this scholarship in the last 2 years. In the case of this scholarship, the government of the 2022-20 fiscal year launched a detailed investigation into the allegations of irregularities. After that, no application was submitted to this scheme in the fiscal year 2021-22 and 2021-27. The center has been reducing the allocation in this sector for the past two years.
For the ninth and tenth grade students, the government has allocated Tk 1.5 crore, Tk 5 crore for the 12th grade students and Tk 1.5 crore for technical courses. According to the minority ministry, the budget of the 2022-20 fiscal year will be given in the budget allocated in this budget, the government has not organized any money this year.
1 crore was allocated only for Uttar Pradesh
At one time, the central government allocated more than Tk 1 crore for the state of Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh was given Tk 12 crore in the 2021-22 fiscal year. The central government allocated Tk 5 crore as a scholarship for the students of Vocational and Technical Stream, but this year it has come to Tk 1 crore.
