Maharashtra Govt discontinues funding for Egg and Sugar in Mid

Mid Day Meal: Students will not get eggs in the mid -day of the public school! From mid -day mills will not fund the eggs and sugar and the government. The Maharashtra government announced on Tuesday. The state government will not provide any funding for eggs and sugar in public schools. The government would spend an average of Rs 5 per head to give each student an egg, the government will no longer bear the cost. Maharashtra Government (MID Day Meal) has said that the school management committee will have to collect funds from the common people to feed the students.

The government issued on behalf of the government said, “Egg poles and sweet national foods will now be optional, but schools have to collect funds for eggs and sugar from the common people”. In November 2021, the Maharashtra government included the eggs in the mid -day. Students were allowed to eat boiled eggs, eggs, or egg biryani one day a week. The food was given to the students on Thursday or Friday. And on the other day, khichuri was given with other vegetables. The eggs were kept under the Prime Minister’s Power Construction Scheme.

In the rural region, the school management committee has been instructed to buy eggs, eggs, eggs or eggs every Thursday or Friday. The initiative was launched in November 2021, and at that time it was said that all the students feed the vegetarian, the egg would be changed to one banana or any fruit. This scheme was introduced for students from first class to eighth grade.

Statistics show that the Maharashtra government pays Tk 1 crore every year to feed 2 million school students to feed one egg a week. But this time the newly revised fund has been made, money will be allocated for the purchase of raw materials for making 5 different meals.
