G 24 Hours Digital Bureau: Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari, spokesperson of Bangladesh Sanatan Jagran Manch, organizer of ISKCON and principal of Chittagong Pundarik Dham, was detained from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Monday. He was arrested at 5 pm today and taken to an unknown place. Why this arrest? Protests are going on in Chittagong and Dhaka.

On Monday (November 25) from 6:00 pm, the people of Sanatan community are protesting at Cheragi Pahar intersection of the city. The protestors chanted, ‘Jai Sriram, Jai Sriram, break the lock of the jail and bring Chinmoy, Jegechere Jegeche Sanatani Jegeche’. Vehicular movement at Cheragi Pahar intersection was blocked due to the protest. A large number of policemen including Kotwali Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Muhammad Fazlul Quader Chowdhury are present there. The protesters started chanting ‘fake fake’ targeting the police. But not only Chittagong. Dhaka’s Shahbagh is stuck in protests. On Monday (November 25) around 7:30 pm, people of Sanatan community started protesting at Shahbag intersection. Protesters blocked traffic at Shahbagh intersection.
Recently, under the leadership of Chinmoy Krishna Das, several rallies were held in various areas including Chittagong and Rangpur with the 8-point demand of traditional religions. Earlier on October 30, a case was filed against 19 people including Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari. The case was filed under the Sedition Act on the charge of insulting the national flag. After the case, the law and order forces arrested the two. But he was arrested and taken to where? DMP’s DB Additional Commissioner Rezaul Karim Mallick said, ‘He has been arrested on the basis of requisition of a complaint. Accordingly, he will be handed over to the designated police station.’

BJP leader Subvendu Adhikari has joined the X handle to protest the arrest of Krishnadas Prabhu. He wrote, “Eminent Hindu leader; Sri Chinmoy Krishna Das Prabhu has been abducted from Dhaka Airport in Bangladesh by the Bangladesh Intelligence Police. He is leading the struggle for existence and dignity of the Hindu minority in Bangladesh. The Bangladeshi Sanatani community fears that Md Yunus’s ‘radical’ regime may descend to any level.” , even those who are dangerous to his leadership, my request to S. Jaishankarji, please take urgent action in this matter A case of sedition was filed against him.
