Khan Sir Released: Popular teacher and YouTuber Khan Sir was arrested last night by the police of Gardnibag police station in Patna. Khan Sir joined a protest gathering of Bihar Public Service Commission examinees in Gardnibagh area of Patna and was fighting to fulfill the demands of the students. And he was taken into police custody from that gathering, but he was released from the police station late last night on Friday. The candidates were protesting against the change in the Bihar Public Service Commission’s examination system, they did not want any change, the students opposed the ‘normalisation’. Similarly, Khan Sir (Khan Sir Released) was adamant about protecting the interests of these students.
All the protesting candidates want this Public Service Commission exam to be held in one shift and in one paper. According to them, the government’s planned ‘normalization’ system is flawed, it cannot make the assessment accurate and there is room for fraud. As a result, eligible students may not get the opportunity.
Special Executive Magistrate MS Khan appeared in this gathering, he said, ‘Protesting candidates should vacate this place. Khan sir was detained by the police and now he is being released, he will also leave this place. I do not know where he will go and where he will be taken. No one is inside. Candidates must leave the sit-in.
While in police custody, Khan sir assured the media that the protest was not political in any way, saying clearly, ‘We want the BPSC president to assure the examinees of withdrawing the normalization process. All students should be tested in one shift, in one question paper. We are not protesting by occupying the road in any way. According to the rules of the constitution, the protest is being done at the place of assembly. Normalization cannot be allowed in any way.’
After being released from the police station, Khan sir joined the gathering again. In a protesting voice, he repeatedly said, ‘Even though many students applied, the application was not accepted due to server problems, they should be given another chance. Exam date or time limit should be extended. One shift, one test and one question paper to be done. If the time of students is lost due to infrastructure, they have to be given extra time.’ So far no demands have been met by the students, as a result the BPSC candidates are still participating in the sit-in.
