Salim Reza, Dhaka: The Ministry of Home Affairs of Bangladesh has issued a warning notice to foreign nationals staying illegally in Bangladesh by January 31. Otherwise, legal action will be taken against those staying illegally and related institutions, the ministry said. On Thursday, the Ministry of Home Affairs of Bangladesh has fixed the deadline for obtaining the legalization of illegal foreign nationals through a warning notice in this regard.

According to the notification, it is for the information of all concerned that many foreign nationals are illegally staying/working in Bangladesh. In such a situation, foreign nationals illegally staying/working in Bangladesh are requested to obtain legalization with necessary documents for staying or working in Bangladesh by January 31.

In such a situation, foreign nationals illegally staying or working in Bangladesh have been requested by the notification to obtain legalization with the necessary documents to stay or work in Bangladesh by January 31, 2025. In this regard, the Ministry of Home Affairs has also requested all concerned departments or institutions to provide necessary cooperation. It has also been said that legal action will be taken against those illegally staying in Bangladesh and related organizations after this period has passed.
