IIT Madras Placements: International options trading firm Jane Street recently offered a pre-placement job (IIT Madras) to an IIT Madras student with a package of Rs 4.3 crore. Basically this posting will be done in the Hong Kong branch of this organization. This student’s studies are not yet complete, the degree is yet to be obtained. But this year’s campus (IIT Madras Placement) is the highest paying job offer. The work of this company is about option trading and this option trading is basically more dependent on technology than mind. Many international options trading firms are making huge profits thanks to great algorithms. But on the other hand, retail investors (Job News) are losing money in this trading with a lot of risk.
This salary includes basic salary, relocation bonus, fixed bonus etc. This student from IIT Madras is a computer science and engineering student. According to sources, the student will work as a quantitative trader in the firm’s office in Hong Kong after getting the job. This year many reputed institutes have organized campus placements in IITs.
Companies like Blackrock, Glynn, DaVinci have offered packages of more than 2 crore rupees to students. Firms like APT Portfolio, Rubric etc. have offered packages of over Rs 1.4 crore and on the other hand companies like Databricks, Ebullient Securities, IMC Trading etc. have offered packages of over Rs 1.3 crore. The student who was offered the package of Rs 4.3 crore by the Jane Street company has reportedly done an internship with the company earlier.
Campusing has also started at IIT Bombay and on the first day of campusing Fintech company The Vinci Derivatives has hired a meritorious student from this institution with an annual package of Rs 2.2 crores. Earlier in the year leading hedge fund firm Jane Street had made a pre-placement offer of Rs 3.7 crore to students. IMC Trading Company offered a package of 1 crore for the Mumbai office and selected a total of 10 students.
