IAS Salary Structure 2024: IAS or IPS jobs top the list of most coveted jobs in India. This post can be done by clearing the UPSC exam. According to the 7th Pay Commission Union Public Service Commission determines the salary of IAS officer (IAS Salary). The salary of an IAS officer actually depends on different pay scales and different posts. The initial salary starts from 56,100 rupees and the maximum salary (UPSC Exam) goes up to 2.5 lakh rupees per month. IAS officers earn the highest salary in the country (IAS Salary Structure 2024). Basically the salary of an IAS is determined based on their grade.
Gray Pay of IAS
Junior Scale: In this case, an entry level IAS officer gets a grade pay of Rs 16,500 and a salary of Rs 50,000 to Rs 1.5 lakh.
Senior Time Scale: After a minimum of 5 years, the salary structure of the officer remains the same, but the grade pay is increased from Tk 16500 to Tk 20 thousand.
Junior Administrative Grade
After 9 years in this job, the grade pay of an IAS officer is increased by 23 thousand rupees.
Pay as per post
There are different pay scales for the posts of SDM, ADM, Deputy Secretary, Secretary, Chief Secretary etc. The pay scale goes from level 10 to level 18. At level 10 the salary starts at Rs 56,100 and at level 18 the monthly salary is Rs 2.5 lakh. After 37 years of service, an IAS officer was promoted to the rank of Cabinet Secretary of India and earned a monthly salary of Rs 2.5 lakh.

That is, the total monthly salary stands at – 94,482 taka
What other benefits?
The government provides an IAS officer with salary, allowances, a car for permanent use, house or quarters in some cases and a monthly pension equal to the retirement pay. Besides, expenses incurred for treatment are also reimbursed.
