Such is the story of Pallavi Varma. Pallavi passed the UPSC exam in 2020 with a rank of 340.
But seven hard years passed before this bright day came. Pallavi failed 6 times, but did not give up.
Daughter Pallavi from Indore graduated in Biotechnology, the first girl in her family to cross the university threshold.
After that, Pallavi started working as a software tester in Chennai for 10-11 months. Then in 2013 the preparation for civil service started.
He did not miss a single exam from 2013 to 2020. He failed in the first three prelims. Even after going through the interview three times, she didn’t give up.
But in 2020 he successfully became IAS by securing 340 rank in the country in his seventh attempt.
And while preparing for the exam, his mother was diagnosed with cancer. It was not possible for any child to be mentally okay with seeing his mother like this.
But with infinite morale, Pallavi continued to prepare and take care of her mother despite her mother’s treatment. Due to his repeated failures, he had to hear a lot of ridicule from his relatives. But he did not give up, Pallavi did not let the stubbornness in him lose.
