On the other hand, a lawyer died on the day Chinmoy was taken to court. Cases were filed against several minority or Hindu lawyers based on the case filed by the lawyer’s brother. They got bail today in Chittagong court. It is reported that they got bail in two separate cases of attack and vandalism on lawyers, police and litigants in Chittagong. Samilit Sanatani Jagran Jot spokesperson Chinmoy’s lawyer Shubashis Sharma has also been granted bail. Yunus government arrested Chinmaykrishna Das on November 25. The monk has been in jail since then. Attacks on his lawyers, threats, warnings, legal entanglements have repeatedly delayed the hearing of Chinmoy’s bail application.
On January 2, Sannyasi Chinmoy’s bail application was rejected by the court. After that, his lawyer informed about going to the High Court. But ISKCON Calcutta Vice President Radharaman Das said that even going to the High Court is an obstacle. He said that after the monk’s bail application was rejected, the certified copy which was supposed to be given by the court was delayed. As a result, Chinmoy’s lawyers were delayed in appearing before the High Court.
