This time again Time magazine announced Donald Trump as the best person of the year 2024 on Thursday. The newly elected Republican President Trump will celebrate this honor by ringing the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange. Several members of his family will be present with him.

This Time magazine tradition, which began in 1927, recognizes individuals or movements that have had the greatest impact on the year’s events. First it was known as ‘Man of the Year’. Then it was changed to Person of the Year. Previous winners of the year include climate change activist Greta Thunberg, former US President Barack Obama, Mater CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Pope Francis and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Trump is the person of the year this year. This year, US Vice President Kamala Harris, Princess of Wales and Tesla CEO Elon Musk were in the competition for the best of the year. Elon Musk is currently a close adviser to Trump and has been nominated to lead an advisory board known as the Department of Government Efficiency.

In a letter to readers, TIME Editor in Chief Sam Jacobs said, “Donald Trump is Time’s 2024 President to lead a comeback of historic proportions, to continue a once-in-a-generation political realignment, to reshape the US presidency and to transform America’s role in the world.” Person of the Year.’
About Trump, Time reported, ‘He (Trump) has re-mobilized the American electorate, particularly young male voters, who have seen him win the popular vote for the first time and turn every swing state red. His 2024 victory would make history in many ways: he would be the oldest president in US history and the first felon to be elected president after being convicted of 34 counts of fraud by a New York jury this year.
