G 24 Hours Digital Bureau: The Chittagong Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court rejected the bail application of Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari, spokesperson of Bangladesh Sammilita Sanatani Jagran Jot and principal of Pundarik Dham. Judge Kazi Shariful Islam ordered to send Chinmoy Das to jail custody. Hundreds of people gathered in the court premises before the appearance of Chinmoy Das in the court. Jai Shri Ram slogans were also raised.

Detective Police arrested Chinmoy Krishna Das from Dhaka’s Shah Jalal Airport area on November 25. A case of sedition has been filed against him.
After the fall of the Awami League government on August 5, Chinmoy Krishna Das was speaking as the spokesperson of the Hindus in the 8-point demand against the attacks on the minorities across the country. On the night of October 30, a sedition case was filed against 19 people at the Kotyali police station in Chittagong after a public meeting at Laldighi ground in Chittagong on October 25. The Sanatani Jagran Manch also announced a long march in Dhaka to demand the withdrawal of this case. Later that program was suspended. Chinmoy has been accused of desecrating the national flag of Bangladesh at the Independence Pillar at Newmarket intersection in Chittagong.
The area was cordoned off with heavy police force before Mangalabar Chinmoy Das was brought to the court premises. Because hundreds of Chinmoy followers had gathered in the court premises. 51 lawyers pleaded for the arrested Chinmoy.
Meanwhile, Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Parishad of Bangladesh has come to the ground to demand the release of Chinmoy Das. Protests have started in different parts of the country.
