BPSC Controversy Row CCTV Footage Shows Candidates SnatchingTearing Question Papers

Patna: A CCTV footage of Bapu Examination Center in Patna on Friday has recently gone viral in the net world. This video shows that 300-400 candidates appeared at that Bapu Examination Center for the 70th Integrated Combined Competitive Exam (ICCE). This exam is mainly organized by Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC Exam). In this CCTV footage, it is seen that several people from outside entered the examination center and snatched the question papers from the candidates and tore the question papers. Even the question papers were being snatched from the benches of the examinees.

This incident happened due to 40-45 minutes delay in giving the question papers in the exam. And out of this, the suspicion of leaking the question is growing and the tension is spreading with it. Officials made it clear that candidates would be given extra time for this delay. But even then several students started making trouble over this incident. A complaint has been lodged with the police on behalf of the authorities.

The CCTV footage shows that several candidates forcibly snatched the exam papers from others. Many others went out with them. And that question paper was being given to the candidates waiting outside. Gradually the incident has become more serious. Even the candidates were tearing the attendance sheet. The examination officials said why the sealed question papers were not opened in the examinees’ rooms. At the same time they claimed that the question paper was leaked. The authorities have also filed a police complaint in this regard, investigation is underway.

Bihar Public Service Commission examinees started protesting outside the Bapu Examination Center in Patna on Friday, alleging examination irregularities. They alleged that the question papers were leaked and that was the reason for the delay in the distribution of the question papers. BPSC conducted the examination on Friday for Group A and Group B posts in which there were a total of 5674 candidates.
