What happened?

Sukhdevpur border incident in Malda. Tensions have flared up along this border before. A few days ago there was a disturbance over the installation of a barbed wire fence. It is known that Indian farmers cultivated wheat there in Indian territory. Suddenly they noticed that a group of miscreants from Bangladesh had entered and were trying to cut the wheat and take it away. At that time, these border farmers stopped the Bangladeshi Lutherans. They protested. Then it turned into a clash. The miscreants from Bangladesh came with weapons and bombs. They started pelting bricks-cane-bombs at the Indian farmers. By force they try to loot the wheat. Then BSF also goes. They go and help Indian farmers. After that, the Bangladeshi Lutherans fled after being chased by Indian farmers and BSF. A situation of conflict is created. Two BSF jawans were injured in the incident.

Across the border at Sukhdevpur in Vaishnavnagar, there is about a thousand bighas of cultivated land along an area of 150 yards. BSF allows farmers to go there for farming from 7 am to 4 pm by depositing mobile phones and identity cards. Farmers were not allowed to enter the Vaishnavanagar border for a few days due to security concerns after barbed wire was erected. But, permission was given again from last Friday. Then the Indian farmers went to the fields and saw that the crops were destroyed.

Villagers of Sukhdevpur stood by the border guards when the BGB obstructed the BSF’s fencing of the Vaishnavnagar border. The villagers complain that their crops are being destroyed on the other side of the border due to that outrage. Swapan Mondal, a resident of Sukhdevpur on the Vaishnabnagar border, said, “Hasina’s government would have been less before. The current government that has come, the Yunus government, has increased the level of oppression. And they are angry about this mess. Since we have crops, they are angry there. Picking up now.”

Sustain by farming a little. The Bangladeshi miscreants are also taking away the crops of that mouth. Residents of Sukhdevpur in the middle.
