G 24 Hours Digital Bureau: There is no sabotage behind the Dhaka Secretariat fire. The fire was caused by an electrical short circuit. This is what the high-level investigation committee said. Nasimul Gani, the head of the committee, senior secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, told reporters at the Rashtriya Guest House Yamuna on Tuesday evening.

Gani said the preliminary investigation report has been submitted to the chief adviser. A detailed discussion was held with him about the report of the preliminary investigation committee for about an hour. The Chief Adviser gives necessary guidance to the expert team on various issues to be done in the future.
Who was in the investigation committee? Enye Gani said that CID teams from BUET, Fire Service and Civil Defence, Army’s bomb and dog squad and police force worked in the investigation committee formed by the government. After the initial investigation, we all agreed that the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit. There is no sabotage or anything else behind it.
In the press briefing, one of the members of the investigation committee, Maqsood Helali, retired professor of BUET, army explosives expert Brigadier General Mohammad Mahbub Russell, Director General of Fire Service and Civil Defense Brigadier General Muhammad Zaheed Kamal, Chief Adviser Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam, Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad Majumdar, Deputy – Press Secretary Faiz Ahmed was present.
