However, the Home Ministry of Bangladesh does not have any accurate information on how many foreign nationals are currently living legally and illegally in Bangladesh.
Meanwhile, the company’s chief IGP Motiur Rahman Sheikh has given special directive to the Bangladesh Police Crime Investigation Department (CID) Serious Crime Unit to take drastic action against citizens of some countries of the African continent in Bangladesh.

However, most of the foreign workers work in the garment and textile sectors of Bangladesh. In addition, many foreign development projects, power plants, international non -governmental organizations, hotels and restaurants are working. Many people come to business visas even though they are not allowed to work illegally in different companies of Bangladesh. Earlier, on December 25, the Ministry of Home Affairs of Bangladesh issued a notification to set the deadline for legalization by January 5 for foreign nationals in Bangladesh.
