Salim Reza, Dhaka: The anti-discrimination student movement, which is one of the forces of the popular uprising in Bangladesh, has announced a ‘National Student Solidarity Week’ from today Tuesday. Convenor Hasnat Abdullah made this announcement after a meeting with the leaders of the student organizations of Bangladesh regarding the ongoing situation at the organization’s office in Bangla Motre in the capital Dhaka on Monday night.
He said, we have reached a decision based on the consensus of all the anti-fascist student organizations of Bangladesh. Declaring National Student Solidarity Week next week. Bangladesh student organizations will go to various institutions and spread our message of unity and solidarity there. We have undertaken this program to show that there is no alternative for us to remain united in the rehabilitation of Awami League. Through this we will try to strengthen our institutional correspondence.
Hasnat said, today we all student organizations of Bangladesh have agreed that we will have zero tolerance policy against Awami League. They will not be given a chance in any format. They are trying to come back in different formats one by one. They are trying to destabilize Bangladesh. We will resist it unitedly.
He also said that suggestions have been received from all the student organizations of Bangladesh regarding the formation of the National Student Council. We will plan on this matter. It will also be discussed in the next meeting. Our discussion will continue to take a united decision. At this time, he asked the students to be calm and not to step into any conspiracy.
