Tauhid Hossain said this in a meeting held at North South University of Dhaka on Saturday. The foreign adviser said that there was a kind of relationship with India before August 5. After August 5, it changed and became different. This is the reality. It is in view of this reality that we have to rebuild our relationship with India and continue to do so. Any change takes time. I believe that India will realize and is doing so how to take forward the relationship with Bangladesh with this government under the changed circumstances. I would expect them to proceed accordingly.
Tauhid Hossain criticized the role of Indian media for the bitterness of the relationship between the two countries. He said, the media of India has suddenly turned against us in a terrible way. I have said it clearly and openly, mentioned it in various statements. The role played by Indian media is not conducive to normal relations between the two countries in any case. Why they are doing it, they can say well. Tawhid also said, here he thinks that the role of the media of this country needs to be taken. In the meeting, BNP Vice Chairman Asaduzzaman Ripon said that the current government has done the right thing by arresting Chinmoy Das. There is no opportunity to look at this issue religiously. The basic task is to bring the person who violates the law to justice.
