An official of the Foreign Ministry of Bangladesh told the Bangladeshi representative of the G22 hour recently. He said that earlier, Pakistani citizens needed clearance of the Ministry of Home Affairs for visas in Bangladesh. Without this clearance, they were not given a visa. Now Pakistanis are getting visas without clearance. In 2021, Pakistani citizens were given 2,000 clearance for visas.
In an order signed by Alimun Rajiv, Deputy Secretary of the Home Ministry Department of Bangladesh’s Ministry of Protection Services in the beginning of December last year, the letter issued by the Security Services Department on February 7, 2015, was canceled by the Pakistani citizen or Pakistani origin. As a result, the visa application of these citizens is able to settle the Bangladesh Embassy, the mission directly from abroad.
