Bangladesh | Dhaka University: New rule in Bangladesh for change!

Salim Reza Dhaka: Considering the problems of students in Bangladesh, the administration has announced a ban on the use of microphones in TSC, halls and residential areas of Dhaka University after 6 pm. Such instructions were given in an emergency notification sent from the proctor’s office of Dhaka University on Saturday midnight. It is said in the circular that for the information of all concerned, loud speaker/mic/car horn is completely prohibited in Dhaka University campus. In order to maintain the learning environment of the students, after 6 pm no program using speakers/mics will be allowed in TSC, Swaparjit Swabandhu Chatwar, halls and residential areas.

Earlier, from 9 pm, the Dhaka University Student-Teacher Center (TSC), Raju Bhaskarya’s foothills and Das Square, organized rallies and other programs by playing loud microphones and boxes, and selling products by miking in front of other residential halls, Shamsun Nahar and Rokeya of the university, who have been suffering for a long time. The resident students of the hall embarked on a novel protest. As a protest, they started playing loud sound boxes in front of the Vice-Chancellor’s residence. Later the proctor of Dhaka University came and said that the demands of the students will be accepted. After some time, the students returned to the hall around 1.30 pm when the notice was given.
