At least seven people were injured in clashes between the two sides since 11 pm. The injured are Irfan (20), pedestrian Ujjal (32), Ashraf (20), Mehdi (23), Faisal Ahmed (22), Saad (22) and Ripon. Sources claim that it is not yet known who among them belong to which college, but the doctors of Dhaka Medical College are treating them. However, when a student named Ujjal was discharged with first aid, his family members again brought him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Currently he is also under treatment.

In the beginning, the students of Dhaka University chased the students of Dhaka College towards the New Market area of ​​Dhaka. Later the students of Dhaka College started throwing bricks and stones. At one stage the students of Dhaka College chased the students of Dhaka University towards the campus. Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Alleging misconduct against Mamun Ahmed, students of seven colleges took a stand in front of Dhaka’s Freedom and Democracy Tower. On the other hand, a group of students of Dhaka University took position in front of Sir AF Rahman Hall. This caused a kind of tension in the area of ​​Dhaka University. At this time, the tension between the two sides is still going on.

Abdur Rahman, a student of Dhaka College and one of the organizers of the movement to convert seven colleges into a central university, told G24 Hours Bangladesh correspondent at the scene that they will not leave the place unless the vice-chancellor comes to the scene and apologizes.
