G 24 Hours Digital Bureau: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is accused of war crimes and crimes against humanity. There are also similar allegations against former Defense Minister Yoav Galant and Hamas military chief Mohammed Deif, among others. The International Criminal Court or ICC issued the arrest warrant on Thursday.

Karim Khan, the prosecutor of the International Court of Justice, made the request on May 20. The three-judge panel of the International Court of Justice said in response to the request, “The Chamber considers that both individuals have deliberately deprived the civilian population of Gaza of the necessities of life.” The arrest warrants were kept ‘secret’ to protect the interests of the investigation and ensure the protection of witnesses. Netanyahu said in a statement after the arrest warrant was issued that the International Criminal Court’s anti-Semitic decision was the equivalent of a modern-day Dreyfus trial and would have the same consequences.
Many people have already died in the Israel-Hamas war. About 44,056 died. According to Gaza, 71 people died in 24 hours. The war began when Hamas attacked southern Israel on October 7, 2023, killing about 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and kidnapping another 250.
